Start with the shape you need, then choose a diameter and finish. In Hasami Porcelain’s Original collection, pieces can share a diameter while having very different depths.
Plate, bowl or tall bowl?
At 145 mm across, the Plate/Lid is 21 mm high, the Bowl is 55 mm high, and the Tall Bowl is 72 mm high. Compare the height as well as the width before adding a piece to your table.
How to compare sizes
Hasami Original repeats diameters across different shapes. The Plate/Lid is 21 mm high and the Bowl is 55 mm high. Tall Bowls are 72 mm high at the 85 mm, 145 mm and 185 mm diameters. These are external dimensions, not food capacity or serving counts. Check the size selected on the product page.
Natural, Original Black or Gloss Gray?
Natural is fired unglazed, leaving the material’s texture exposed. Original Black uses pigments; Gloss Gray uses glaze. All three have unglazed edges. These descriptions apply to the Original line.
If one finish is unavailable, compare another finish at the same diameter. Available sizes can differ between finishes.
