Japanese Incense: Choose a Scent & Format
Choose a scent and stick format, then check what comes in the box.
Selected pieces
Choose the fragrance you want to try, then compare the stick format, pack size and accessories. A small pack, a box with a stand and a larger sandalwood box suit different needs.
Three places to start
- HERB & EARTH: 20 bamboo incense sticks, with named scents such as Patchouli and Vanilla.
- Elemense: 40 incense sticks with a stand included. Select an individual fragrance; the box is not a scent assortment.
- Mainichi Byakudan: a 150-stick sandalwood option, with an approximate 25-minute burn time per stick.
Choosing a fragrance
For HERB & EARTH, choose the named scent you want on the product page. Elemense also has separate fragrance variants: read the description of your selected scent rather than treating every box as the same fragrance. Mainichi Byakudan is an option when you are looking for sandalwood. Availability can differ by scent.
Pack size and replacing a favorite
Check the product name, format and quantity when replacing a box. Mainichi Byakudan 150pc is a different product from Mainichi Byakudan Short; the 25-minute timing applies to the 150-stick product. Stick count describes the pack, not how many days it will last.
Does it need a holder?
Check the included accessories, especially when choosing a gift. Even an included stand needs a suitable nonflammable surface to collect ash.
