ARAS Tableware: Materials & Care
Compare shapes and materials, then check the specific care guidelines for each model.
Selected Pieces
Microwave compatibility depends on the model. ARAS plates, the Mug and Sea Mineral pieces have different instructions. Start with the exact piece you want to use.
Basic plates and bowls: serving, not reheating
The Wave Plate L, Tapa Mame Plate and Donburi Bowl use Tritan and glass fiber. These three models are dishwasher-safe and are not microwave-safe. Their listed heat resistance is 100°C / 212°F; that temperature does not mean they can be heated in a microwave or oven.
Tapa can also cover the ARAS Mug. The two are sold separately, and the mug’s microwave permission does not extend to the Tapa.
The Mug: a specific microwave exception
The ARAS Mug allows microwave use up to 700 W only when at least half full of a drink. Follow this condition and the product’s Details & Care. Do not transfer the mug’s instructions to another ARAS piece.
Sea Mineral: 140°C and up to 700 W
The Sea Mineral Wave Plate and Scoop Bowl use NAGORI® with glass fiber. Both are dishwasher-safe, with heat resistance of 140°C / 284°F and microwave use up to 700 W.
Do not heat them empty, use automatic heating, or heat foods high in oil or sugar. Do not use them on a stovetop, in an oven or under a grill. Strongly colored foods can leave stains.
These instructions cover the named models. Other lines, including Cedar Bark, have their own care requirements. Explore all ARAS tableware and check the size, color and care of your selected piece.
