Motoshige Surikogi Wooden Pestle

This surikogi pestle is crafted by Motoshige, a family-owned Japanese pottery in Shimane Prefecture, now in its third generation of creating mortars and graters by hand. Made from Japanese walnut sawagurumi wood, it feels lightweight and soft in your hands. From crushing seeds to grinding spices, this kitchen tool works well with Motoshige’s mortar bowls.
